Eternity-Are you ready?

Eternity-Are you ready?
The follow up-
The following are some inspirational books. It really gets you thinking: Am I ready for eternity? If you are an atheist- What if you’re wrong? As I have said in other blogs, even evolutionists have said that evolution is NOT a Scientific FACT, but they don’t want to believe in God, so they choose to believe in evolution. Well, Noah’s Flood IS a Scientific Fact, and so are dinosaurs walking with man. Job Chapters 41-42 and according to fossils IN THE SAME ROCK LAYER.

Nurse after Nurse have spoken of what they have seen. It’s amazing, but sad, people dying, drawing their legs up saying “It’s hot. It’s hot.” Dying and being resuscitated, then dying againg, repeating “It’s hot. It’s hot.” And again, and again, til they are in eternity. When my husband’s dad died, I thought I was saved, but it really got me to thinking about eternity. When you die, you’re literally at heavens door. Knocking. Either Jesus will let you in or He will say “Depart from Me I never knew you.” (And many will say, but I cast out demons in your name. And Jesus will say “Depart from me I never knew you.” Once saved always saved-by saying a simple prayer-Here’s what the Bible says: Acts 2:38 when Peter (the keyholder to heaven) was asked “how must we be saved?” “Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins, that you may receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Have you been water baptized [full immersion]? Have you received the Holy Ghost as evidence of speaking in tongues?
Eternity is really in your hands. God gave us a free will. Too bad that sin drags us away from God. Even believers that are saved need to stay close to God, how about the unsaved?
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you with wisdom and grace for eternity. Love In Christ, read these books.

One Heartbeat Away

In One Heartbeat Away: Your Journey into Eternity, Mr. Cahill describes the most
often cited evidence in favor of the Christian answer to that question. For
someone who doesn’t know the Bible and wants to learn more, this book is a good
starting point for understanding the evidence in favor of Christianity. Mr.
Cahill also does a good job of referencing his sources so that those who want to
study the points in more detail will know where to go next. The book is short
and accessible: The format is similar to what having a personal conversation
with Mr. Cahill might be like. The book opens with arguments in favor of
Intelligent Design, the spiritual counter to various scientific theories such as
Darwinism. He next turns his attention to evidence in favor of the Bible,
including archeology and prophesies that have proven to be accurate. In chapter
four, he describes experiences that people recall who have been resuscitated
while dying. While most of us have heard of the tunnel of light and beings
dressed in white that receive us in a friendly place, Mr. Cahill also shares
stories of people who have experienced great heat, flames, and the smell of
burning sulfur. Next, the book examines the Ten Commandments and helps readers
to understand how far we all come in following those Godly rules. You’ll come
away with a strong sense that no matter how hard we try we cannot save ourselves
from sin. From there, the book takes a brief look at comparative religions to
show that only Christianity provides a way out of being judged for our sins.
Using many conversations with nonbelievers and seekers after the Truth, Mr.
Cahill recounts how we can repent, accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and
become new beings through Christ. He also explains how we need to be witnesses
for our faith.

One Thing You Can’t Do in Heaven (Paperback)

Among the important points covered in the book include: 1. People are hungrier
for the gospel than we realize - Indeed, we seem to hear from the people who
don’t like Christians sharing the gospel while we miss the many who desparately
want someone to talk to them about eternity. 2. Reasons why we don’t witness to
others - Many reasons have to do with fear of what others think and our own
spiritual complacency. 3. Ask God for creative ways to share the gospel - I have
done this myself and it works! 4. Don’t worry about pleasing others - Jesus
Christ was perfect and yet He was still nailed to the cross! How can we expect
to escape persecution and hard times when we witness to others? 5. 4 thought
provoking questions to ask when witnessing to others - What do you mean by that?
How do you know that to be true? Where do you get your information? What if you
are wrong? 6. Common questions and objections and how to overcome them - Some
questions are honest while others are meant to distract us. 7. Be bold while we
still have time - Compared to eternity in heaven, the temporary pain we may feel
when rejected pales in comparison! All in all, an excellent challenge and
encouragement to keep witnessing until we either pass from this earth or until
Jesus Christ comes back for His children! Read and enjoy. Highly recommended.

Radio Disney: Remove God From ‘Ten Commandments’ Movie Ad

Radio Disney: Remove God From ‘Ten Commandments’ Movie Ad

This may be old news, but I think you just ought to know. 1)About Radio Disney’s view, it’s shocking! 2)There are family friendly-real family friendly movies coming out. So if you’re Christian and want your kids to see a Movie that could help them to understand the Bible’s history better, you just might want to see these:

Promenade Pictures, makers of the film “The Ten Commandments,”
The production company has two other animated movies coming out based on biblical parables: “Noah’s Ark: The New Beginning,” due out in 2008, and “Gideon’s Gift.”

I personally haven’t seen these movies yet, so you probably will want to have your Bible handy, unless you know your Bible very well, because even humans can make mistakes. Example, VeggieTales-they are/were Bible based, however, in the movie about Queen Esther they tone down the death word-instead of Hammond wanting the Jews killed he says “they will be banished to the island of perpetual tickling”. So when our kids asked me is that true, I knew the story and where the producers were coming from. It is the parents job to reinforce the Bible. Therefore, I told the kids, “Well, actually Hammond wanted the Jews killed, but they said “they will be banished to the island of perpetual tickling”, because they don’t want to scare kids. So like I said a very family-friendly movie, but just be prepared either way with your Bible. Kids trust you, you are to tell them the truth and be ready to explain if necessary. Those are my comments.

Here is some of the article about Disney Radio:

Radio Disney was to broadcast a radio spot for Promenade Pictures, makers of the film “The Ten Commandments,” but the company sent an e-mail earlier this month instructing that the phrase “chosen by God” be stripped from the script.

“In connection with the Ten Commandments, I did find it offensive,” said
Promenade president and Chief Operating Officer Cindy Bond. “God in our movie is
the main character. You rip the whole guts out of the piece.”
Bond said that
because Disney has just the target audience the film seeks — children and
‘tweens — she complied with Disney’s request and had the ad redone without
mention of God.
“To walk away from a place that has our exact core audience
… I ordered the spot to be recut and re-edited,” Bond said. “If you get them
into the theater, they’ll hear plenty about God.”
The voices for the animated
characters in “The Ten Commandments” are done by actors Elliott Gould (God), Christian Slater (Moses), Sir Ben Kingsley (narrator) and
Alfred Molina (Ramses).

You Believe in Heaven - What about Hell?

You Believe in Heaven - What about Hell?

I do and if you don’t that won’t make it exist any less.

Just one-half of one-percent expects to go to hell upon their death. Nearly
two-thirds of Americans - 64 percent - believe they will go to heaven. And 54
percent believe if you do enough good things during your life, you’ll walk
through the pearly gates.
“I just try to be a good person on a day to day
basis - the whole golden rule thing and do unto others and that sort of thing,”
one young man told CBN News.

Too bad just being “good” is not going to get you into heaven. Romans 3:23 We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” But Jesus is (in John 14:6) “…the way, truth, and life. No man cometh to the Father, but through Him.”
If you don’t believe in God, what if you’re wrong? God exists whether you believe in Him or not.

Huge Crowds Line Up for Obama, Winfrey

I totally disagree with this woman’s attitude, because if we’re fighting a war on terror against a country that doesn’t see women as much (such as, Iran/Iraq), what makes people in America think that they’re going to respect us even more if we have a woman President? But, then again Obama nor Hillary Clinton share my values.

Winfrey “did a really good job in telling about (Obama’s) points, what he’s
really about,” said Laurie Healy, 52, a teacher from Merrimack, N.H. But she’s
still inclined toward Clinton. “I think she just has what it takes to deal with
leaders of other nations.”

33 cents Gas in Minocqua Wisconsin

Minocqua is about 3 hours from where I live.
geez imagine 33 cents a gallon? .

MINOCQUA, Wis. (AP) — Dozens of drivers made a mad rush forcheap gas after
a station employee accidentally changed the price to33 cents a gallon.
An
employee closing Trig’s Minocqua Shell for the night meant todrop the price of
gas by 1 cent but mistakenly dropped a nine fromthe $3.299 a gallon in the
computer, making the price of gas .329cents Monday night.
He left about 10
p.m., but drivers could still use their creditcards to buy gas.
Word of the
bargain spread fast in the rural northern Wisconsincommunity, with 42 people
buying 586 gallons of gas in an hour and45 minutes. One person had pumped 27
gallons and two purchased 18gallons.
Local police saw the horde at the
station and called storemanager Andrea Reuland, who went to the station and
pushed theemergency stop.
“There were cars two deep at each of my pumps,”
said Reuland, whoknew many of the drivers and told them they were being
dishonest –the main store sign had the correct price.
“I was very upset
that there’s that many dishonest people,” shesaid. “They knew there was a
problem, and they took advantage of anemployee’s mistake and I think that’s
terrible.”
The employee, who has been there for about six months, hadchanged
the gas prices 25 times in the past six months.

Best selling Book now hits China.

no not Harry Potter, it’s the Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth.

Demand for the Bible is soaring in China, at a time when meteoric economic
growth is testing the country’s allegiance to Communist doctrine. Today the 50
millionth Bible will roll off the presses of China’s only authorised publisher,
Amity Printing, amid public fanfare and celebration.
In the past, foreign
visitors were discouraged from bringing Bibles into the country in case they
received some heavy-handed treatment from zealous Customs officials.
Such is
the demand in China for Bibles that Amity Printing can scarcely keep pace. Early
next year it will move into a new, much larger factory on the edge of the
eastern city of Nanjing to become the world’s single-biggest producer of Bibles.

The Bible is not on sale in mainstream Chinese bookshops but through a
distribution system managed by the official church, for example at stalls set up
for people attending morning service. But it does figure on a recommended
reading list of useful books in the glitzy metropolis of Shanghai.
A country
where the Communist ideology has lost much credibility is seeing an upsurge in
conversions to Christianity. Li Baiguang, a prominent lawyer and Christian
activist who was received by President Bush at the White House last year, said:
“Rising wealth means that more and more people have been able to meet their
material needs, the need for food and clothing.

A Gift They Won’t Soon Forget: Rhino Dung

A Gift They Won’t Soon Forget: Rhino DungSource

As people say: “Only in America”, why not just ask for donations, rather than appearing to sell people things that they really don’t need?

…The International Rhino Foundation, headquartered in Yulee, is peddling the dung of endangered rhinos on eBay — with starting bids ranging from $100 to $500. The auction ends Sunday at 3 p.m
…They took pains to make sure the rhino droppings were attractive enough to be gift-worthy.
“We asked the keepers to look for samples that would be well formed and of a good consistency,” Ellis said.
The samples were collected in the field, dried on racks in a room with low-humidity and then placed in clear plexiglass cases acquired from a nearby trophy store.

Oh, but wait…

As of Friday afternoon, it had attracted more than 20 bids, pushing the starting price up from $110 to $600 (plus $16 shipping via UPS.)

…Although eBay has stringent rules when it comes to the sale of endangered wildlife items, the company forbids illegal items such as ivory and pelts — not cruelty-free poo.
“It is in line with our policies,” said eBay spokeswoman Nichola Sharpe.

Bah Humbug to Puny Christmas Tree

Bah Humbug to Puny Christmas Tree

Good for these residents in speaking up about their faith. It’s good to hear of Christians speaking up for their faith. No, they don’t put their faith in a Christmas tree, but rather they want the symbol of everlasting life to not be dimished. Praise God for the folks in this town that spoke up and the mayor that heard.

Dec. 6–Apparently, when it comes to holiday symbols, size does matter.
At least it did to some folks in Long Beach, who were none too happy with the elfin Christmas tree planted next to a 20-foot-high menorah at Kennedy Plaza infront of City Hall.
They called, they sent letters, they testified at a public hearing at City Hall.

…”The menorah is statuesque and a pleasure to view, but, regretably, the dimunitive size of the Christmas tree can only be perceived as an insult to the Christian community residing in Long Beach.”
That’s way harsh, Eaton said, though he thought the size differential was ludicrous.

Are you fooled?

Are you fooled?
I agree with President Bush and Israel, Iran could be hiding something. If you look at History Saddam Hussein covered up nerve gas (that killed 5000 people, men women, and children), in an agriculture plant.

Despite a new U.S. intelligence that says Iran’s weapons program
has been defunct for years, President Bush insists that the U.S. must continue
to pressure Iran regarding its nuclear program.”…
According to the assessment from America’s 16-spy agencies, Tehran halted
its nuclear weapons program four years ago, suggesting that “it’s less
determined to develop nuclear weapons than we have been judging.”…
…Israel’s Defense Minister Ehud Barak today said, that while Iran may
have suspended its weapons program, their intelligence suggests Tehran restarted
it in 2005.
And just six weeks ago, President Bush said regarding Iran, “I’ve
told people that if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like
you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge
necessary to make a nuclear weapon.”
One thing administration officials
continue to point out is that Iran is on the path to acquiring the know how to
develop a nuclear weapon. And that the report still estimates that Iran could
produce a nuclear weapon within the next decade.

Sean Taylor-will be missed by many

May God bless those affected by this sad tradegy, but may they be grateful that the mother Jackie and their 18-month old were not also killed.
As the grandmother said, “Don’t need to ask why, God doesn’t make no mistakes. Maybe he needed to die in order to save someone else.” Maybe someone will hear of this, a famous athlethe, or someone and realize-you never know when your last day is here, so make the best/most out of each day. Knowing you’re right with God before you even get out of bed/house.

“Sean went to church every Saturday unless he had practice,” his great-aunt, Merlane Williams, said from her home in Richmond Heights.
He got his first taste of football as a 60-pound 6-year-old on the Homestead Hurricanes. Taylor went on to play for the Florida City Razorbacks, a team that his dad helped coach.
Glenn “Lucky” Smith remembers running footraces with Taylor outside Pine Lake Elementary when they were boys. Smith, who now works for a cable company, said the neighborhood kids, even at 8, 9 and 10, expected Taylor to be great.
“We weren’t surprised when he made the NFL; it was his destiny,” Smith said. “All kids dream of getting out, of making it big-time, but for Sean it was real and everybody knew it.”
Taylor stood out on the football field from his earliest Pop Warner days, said Tommy Sumler, “Coach Bo” to kids who play ball in South Miami-Dade.
“Him and his father really set a role for the community,” Sumler said.
