Hugo Chavez changes Venezula’s time zone
Apparently he was not kidding, well he already revamped Venezuela’s Constitutions to allow him to be President indefinetly. We can all use a half hour.
Hugo Chavez, Venezuela’s president, is seeking to change the country’s time
zone. In September the time will move back by thirty minutes in an effort to
boost the amount of natural light to residents.
Science and Technology
Minister Hector Navarro stated the measure sought” a more fair distribution of
the sunrise.” This will help the children of school age who are up pre-dawn for
school.
He also stated “Very rigorous scientific studies have determined
that…the metabolic activity of living beings is synchronised with the sun’s
